​Originally from the Midwest, we moved to the Oregon Coast in 2014. For over 11 years, I've been deeply involved in the Pacific Northwest truffle industry. Along the way, I've been lucky to learn from amazing mentors—truffle dog trainers, experts, mycologists, and dog trainers who've shaped my journey. Teaching ethical truffle dog training is a mission I'm genuinely passionate about, and I'm always eager to keep learning and improving my craft.

 

Foraging came naturally as if it was always meant to be a part of my life. It's a far cry from my previous buttoned-up existence, where I wouldn't leave the house without my hair and makeup perfectly done. I cared deeply about appearances—nice clothes, cars, and people's thoughts. That all feels like a lifetime ago. Now, I find fulfillment in muddy boots, wagging tails, and the thrill of uncovering hidden treasures in the forest.

 

My favorite vacation ever was in Hvar, Croatia. Our rental home sat right on the Adriatic Sea, and to my delight, Croatia is not only a truffle hotspot but also home to some of the world's finest Lagotto Romagnolo. One of the top Lagotto even hails from Zagreb! We had no idea when we booked the trip, but it felt like fate.
